Rimex Metals is a globally leading producer of specialist metal finishes and offers high-quality solutions for both façade cladding and interior architecture with an extensive range of coloured, textured, and patterned stainless steel. The products combine aesthetics, durability, and technical performance, giving architects and designers maximum design freedom. Thanks to innovative finishes such as ColourTex and T22, combined with a variety of textures, vibrant colours and refined surface structures are created, giving façades, walls, ceilings, lift interiors, and other architectural elements a distinctive and contemporary appearance.

Texture and pattern as a design tool
Rimex stands out for its rich variety of textures and patterns. Finishes such as 2WL, 5WL, and Water Rhythm add depth, light interaction, and dynamism to surfaces. This gives façades a strong visual character and creates a play of reflection and shadow.The high-quality finishes from Rimex are designed for intensive use. The structured surfaces help to conceal scratches, dents, and signs of wear. Thanks to these properties, Rimex solutions are particularly suitable for entrances, public spaces, retail, hospitality environments, and high-end interiors.

Sustainability
Rimex products are manufactured from stainless steel containing up to 95% recycled material and are fully recyclable. Combined with their long lifespan and minimal maintenance requirements, these materials make an important contribution to sustainable and circular architecture.

Rimex Metal surfaces

The product range of Rimex Metals includes a wide variety of stainless steel and metal surfaces with diverse structures, colours, and finishes. Each surface has its own appearance and character, ranging from subtle matt to high-gloss polished, and from understated to boldly coloured. This diversity enables designers to make targeted choices for both aesthetic and functional purposes, achieving the desired effect and atmosphere in their designs.

ColourTex range

The ColourTex stainless steel range is distinctive because its colors and tones change under different lighting conditions. This phenomenon, known as metamerism, creates a ‘living’ color effect when viewed from various angles. The ColourTex process can be combined with surface finishes such as mirror, satin, and other polishes, as well as Granex, patterned, and highlighted products.

T22 range

The T22 stainless steel range is produced using a deposition process, resulting in a more uniform color effect compared to the dynamic color effect of the ColourTex range. T22 is perfect for interior design applications such as shop fittings, restaurant fittings, and signage.

Natural range

Rigidised, textured or patterned stainless steels such as Linen, 2WL, 5WL, 6WL, 7GM and TreadTex treadplate.

Surface Finishes

Granex is a superior bead-blasted finish ideal for architectural and other applications where a visually consistent finish is required. The finish can be used on natural and coloured stainless steel. It is also possible to have this finish on patterned and highlighted patterned products. The Granex finish creates a light-diffusing effect whilst leaving a smooth matt finish to the surface.

VorTex product is produced using a vibration polish and is applied on natural and T22 coloured stainless steel. This finish creates a light-diffusing effect whilst leaving a glossy sheen to its surface and helps to take the specifier away from the historic constraints of the flat-polished 240 Silicon Grit stainless-steel products into new and exciting areas.

Rimex also provides one-directional polishes in Platinum Hairline and Satin finishes.

Patterned and Highlighted Patterned Finishes

Rimex produces double and single-sided patterns by cold-rolling stainless steel and other metals in sheet and coil formats. The patterned finishes are essential for adding character, creating lighting effects, and enhancing product longevity and durability. Initially produced on natural and colored stainless steel, this product has been further developed to offer reduced reflectivity through the ‘Highlighted’ pattern range. These patterned products are available on natural or colored stainless steel and can be combined with other finishes such as Granex and VorTex.

Water Rhythm

The ‘free form’ Water Rhythm (also known as Water Ripple) design is created through large-scale, 3-dimensional manipulation of stainless steel sheets. This process results in a fluid yet distorted visual effect, combining broken reflections with playful light interactions. It is available as standard in natural silver – SuperMirror, with the option to combine it with the T22 colored mirror range of finishes.

From a few sheets for feature walls to columns, ceilings, and larger-scale cladding applications, the Water Rhythm range offers designers and specifiers a unique departure from conventional designs.

Mirror Finish

Rimex SuperMirror – accept no imitations. This product is as near to a perfect polish as can be produced on stainless steel. It’s a great alternative to glass mirror as it does not shatter and to date has been used for ceilings, washrooms, shopfittings and transport applications.
