Markthal Rotterdam: unique aluminium cladding

The Markthal Rotterdam is an internationally renowned architectural landmark where living, shopping, and leisure come together in a unique design. For the façade and ceiling applications of this remarkable building, Roba Metals supplied high-quality aluminium to Aldowa. Aldowa then transformed the aluminium sheets into sublimated aluminium panels, enabling the realization of the project’s complex shapes and refined aesthetic appearance.

Thanks to aluminium’s excellent formability, durability, and dimensional stability, it provided the ideal foundation for these innovative façade elements. Through the sublimation process, the panels received a sophisticated, high-quality finish while retaining the material’s durable characteristics. In addition, aluminium’s lightweight nature allowed for efficient fabrication and installation.
